Dinter Nursery’s Plant Guarantee

We guarantee that our plants are healthy, properly identified, and will establish with proper planting and care.

Live plants require the correct conditions and care to thrive and establish successfully.

If your recently purchased plants are not thriving, we ask that you contact us as soon as possible so we can help you to diagnose the problem and offer solutions.

If your plant has not successfully established within six months we will issue a store credit in the amount of the purchase price of the plant. For a store credit, we require the sales receipt and the item as proof of purchase.


Return Policy Details

For all returns, the item and sales receipt are required.

Refunds: All items may be returned, in sellable condition and with their receipt, for a refund within three days of purchase.

Store Credits: Indoor plants, subtropical plants, annual plants and all non-plant items may be returned for a store credit within 30 days of purchase. All other plants may be returned within six months for a store credit.

Final Sale: Bees, beneficial insects (including nematodes), bird seed and suet, cards, fertilizer, fish, grass seed, hats, pesticides and all clearance items.

Important Notes:

Our plant guarantee does not apply to damage from extreme weather events (i.e., heat waves, cold snaps, high winds) or damage caused by animal browsing (i.e., deer, elk, rabbits).

If you require a delivery to return plants or purchase new plants using your store credit, there will be a regular delivery charge.

In no case are we responsible for more than the purchase price or consequential damage due to plant failure.


Paid Holds and Restocking Fee

All paid holds must be picked up within 30 days of purchase. Your receipt is required to pick up a paid hold.

Cancelled paid holds, cancelled deliveries and all fountain returns will be subject to a 10% restocking fee.


In some cases, we offer an extension to our guarantee if a purchased plant is not doing well but may still recover if given proper care.
